Project Gemini - Time Stands Still / Le Temps S'Arrete Vinyl LP

Having collaborated on his 2024 album Colours & Light, Project Gemini (Paul Osborne) reunites with French singer and composer Wendy Martinez, also of psych-girl group Gloria, for the new EP Time Stands Still / Le temps s’arrête on Mr Bongo. The EP blends Paul’s cinematic psych rock with Wendy’s captivating vocals, drawing inspiration from 1960s–70s French progressive music, celebrated soundtrack composers, and French female artists.

Born from instrumental tracks Paul wrote while finishing Colours & Light, the EP saw Wendy add melodies and French poetry from her home near Lyon, resulting in a contemporary love letter to psych, folk, chanson, and French new wave. Tracks like the sultry, psych-funk opener Je n’ai plus peur, the beautiful yet sinister Âme contre âme, and the atmospheric The Crawler showcase fuzzy guitars, driving bass, and layered vocals, enhanced by Tony Coote’s drums and Paul Elliot’s percussion. Time Stands Still is a nostalgic yet fresh journey, marrying groove, grit, and cinematic sensibility.
