Benny Sings - City Pop Vinyl LP

Benny Sings released City Pop, his sixth album and first for Stones Throw, on February 22, 2019. The album distills Benny’s real-life observations and reflections on love, anchored by his soft rock–inspired songwriting, jazz-inflected instrumentation, piano-forward arrangements, and distinctive vocals. Written and inspired by time spent in cities around the world—including New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Paris, and his hometown of Amsterdam—City Pop embraces a global perspective. The project also celebrates collaboration, featuring contributions from Mayer Hawthorne, Cornelius, Sukimaswitch (often dubbed the “Japanese Steely Dan”), Mocky, and Faberyayo.
