Lionmilk’s I Hope You Are Well unfolds as a 57-minute meditation of soul-jazz and ambient textures, offering a kind of musical therapy from Los Angeles pianist and producer Moki Kawaguchi. Originally conceived in early 2020 during the first pandemic shutdowns, the album was self-dubbed to cassette and quietly delivered to friends and family as a gesture of care for those facing anxiety and depression. Its intimate, healing spirit later found a wider audience when Leaving Records partnered with Lionmilk for an official release in late 2020, transforming a deeply personal project into a communal space for reflection and solace.
