Spiro World (or One Must First Become Aware of the Body) marks the definitive full-length statement from Time Wharp, the project of Brooklyn-based artist Kaye Loggins. Unbound by any single genre or scene, the album is a raw, vulnerable coming-of-age collection that chronicles experiences of derealization, endocrinological upheaval, and the uneasy balance between pharmaceutical dependence and everyday life, all framed as intimate love letters to New York. Recorded across multiple city spaces—from home studios to Plantain Recording House—the record layers Loggins’ compositions with contributions from Jasper Dutz on woodwinds, Nina Keith on cello and electronics, and Will Shore on marimba, with additional engineering by Ryan Howe and Matt Shaw. Mastered by Daddy Kev, Spiro World emerges as both deeply personal and politically urgent, pairing its sonic experimentation with a resolute demand for collective care.
