As C418, composer and producer Daniel Rosenfeld creates music that resonates in both physical and digital realms. Best known for his original soundtracks to Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time, he has developed a decade-long discography of instrumental music spanning electronic pop patterns, neo-classical dreamscapes, and sparse ambient motifs. After quietly self-releasing Minecraft Volume Alpha and Volume Beta, Rosenfeld partnered with Ghostly International in 2015 to reissue Volume Alpha on vinyl and CD. Following several restocks, the soundtrack’s second installment received its first pressing in 2020. Originally self-released in 2013, Volume Beta features tracks silently added to Minecraft during updates, as well as a few that never officially appeared in the game.
