Cat Power - Moon Pix Vinyl LP

Moon Pix is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Cat Power, released on September 22, 1998, by Matador Records. It was recorded in Melbourne, Australia, at Sing Sing Studios in January 1998, with backing from Mick Turner and Jim White of the Australian band Dirty Three.

The album marked a shift in Cat Power’s sound, incorporating more atmospheric and textured arrangements. It includes songs written during a single night in 1997 following a hallucinatory nightmare, which inspired much of the album’s content. Moon Pix has been praised for its emotional depth and is considered one of Chan Marshall’s most influential works.
