Weezer, also known as The Blue Album, is the debut studio album by American rock band Weezer, originally released on May 10, 1994. Produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars and recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, the album was supported by three singles—“Undone – The Sweater Song,” “Buddy Holly,” and “Say It Ain’t So”—which propelled the band to mainstream success, aided by music videos directed by Spike Jonze. The album reached #16 on the Billboard 200, earned triple-platinum certification in the United States, and double-platinum in Canada.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1992, Weezer went on to sell over 9.2 million albums in the U.S. and more than 17 million worldwide.
