The Beach Boys - The Smile Sessions Vinyl 2LP

Considered the holy grail of classic rock, the Beach Boys’ SMiLE album was the product of tireless work by Brian Wilson, his chosen studio musicians, and the rest of the group during late 1966 and early 1967. Most of the completed tracks were ultimately scrapped and remained in disarray for decades, while a variety of sources—both official and unofficial—slowly pieced together fragments of the project. Several Beach Boys albums from the late ’60s and early ’70s included portions of the material, and the 1993 Good Vibrations box set featured 30 minutes of SMiLE sessions. Now, for the first time, Capitol has released hours of SMiLE sessions, delivering one of the most long-awaited releases in modern music history.
