Saxophonist and flutist Prince Billy Mahdi Wright, a key figure in Chicago’s underground jazz scene, released his only leader album, You Got That Right, on his independent label in 1980. This remarkable record features legendary Chicago bassist Eldee Young, known for his work with Young-Holt Unlimited, and includes the stunning track “Summer Love” (B1), a favorite of Gilles Peterson, as well as the beautifully ethereal “Tune Weaver” (A1).
