Polygon Window - Surfing On Sine Waves Vinyl 3LP

Originally released in 1993, Surfing On Sine Waves is the second album in Warp’s Artificial Intelligence series, which also includes the titular compilations and contributions from artists such as Autechre, The Black Dog, and F.U.S.E. It is the sole album released under Richard D. James’ (Aphex Twin) Polygon Window alias, a name that first appeared as a track title under his other pseudonym, The Dice Man, for his submission to the series. The album’s title, chosen by Warp co-founder Rob Mitchell, was inspired by a quote from James, and the record debuted at #2 on the UK dance charts. Later the same year, it was followed by the companion EP Quoth, featuring the album’s title track alongside additional songs that made their first appearance on this release.
